Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, also known as BJJ, is a martial art that specializes in ground-based fighting techniques.

Jiu jitsu is a mental workout that challenges the mind to react quickly while remaining calm and in control.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu utilizes various grappling techniques to subdue opponents through non-violent means, utilizing leverage, angles, pressure, timing, and knowledge of human anatomy. Instead of striking or kicking, BJJ focuses on close-contact grappling techniques such as holds, chokes, and joint manipulations. The practice can be performed wearing a ‘gi’, a traditional kimono-like outfit, or ‘no gi’ with shorts and a rash guard.  We offer both GI and No-GI classes every week.
